20th July 2003 Boogie Boarding: Golf Car Park, Borth Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: 2 foot Air Temperature: cool Sea Temperature: warm Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered: Having sailed yesterday, our band of visitors were all too knackered to have another go, so we went Boogie boarding instead. There were 8 of us, but only 5 boards, so Sarah, Jessica, Dave K, Claire and Teresa went boarding. Dom, Martin and I went fishing. When I say fishing, all I did was drown a few worms. After a while Sarah came over and exchanged my rod for her board. I joined Dave K and Jessica, who were the only brave souls left boarding. I had a few decent runs on 2 foot waves. Dom had a little go, but he has had a bad back recently and didn't want to push his luck. I left Dave and Jessica to it and Martin was still happily drowning worms. Eventually he caught a fish, but we only have his word for it as everyone had given up long before him. A triumph for resilience and perseverance. |
